For this week’s #fridayfamilystory, we’re off to the Southwest of Scotland!
Jess, Dan and Ivy (the dog) had a wonderful week away, courtesy of one of our independent donors.
Jess told us, “We recently had the pleasure of taking a much-needed break in Scotland, generously donated through Give Us Time, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was our first time properly exploring Scotland, and it completely stole our hearts.
“The cottage was absolutely perfect—just a stone’s throw from Carrick Shore, with stunning sea views right from our window! It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, from walking routes and maps to binoculars for birdwatching. The owner was so kind, emailing us before our trip with tips and even recommending some of her favourite walking spots, which made our experience extra special.
“This beautiful retreat, tucked away from the hustle and bustle, was exactly the reset we needed. Our spaniel had the time of her life, her tail wagging nonstop the entire week! We can’t thank the owners enough for their generosity, and a huge thank you to Give Us Time for making it all possible”
