What does Give Us Time do?

Give Us Time supports Forces families to spend time together on donated respite breaks following separation due to deployment, bereavement, physical or mental injuries, financial need, or other welfare issues.

Breaks are donated by companies and individuals who own or manage holiday properties in the UK, Europe and US.

Give Us Time supports serving, veteran and bereaved families from the Army, Royal Marines, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

Click on ‘Breaks’ on our home page and then ‘Find a Break’ – this will take you to our booking system where you can create an account.

Give Us Time breaks are accommodation-only – families will be responsible for costs of flights, food and any activities they wish to do while away.

You are welcome to take whoever you like from your family.

Please note that many of our donors will not allow adult-only groups to make bookings.

Most bookings are managed via our online system.  Simply find the break you would like, and then click the ‘Book’ button beside it.  This will then make a provisional booking on the system and the confirmation process will be managed by the Give Us Time team.

Some of our breaks are booked off-line, depending on the location and requirements of the host, but again you will be supported by the team.

We understand that there will be occasions when, for reasons of illness, bereavement, or a call back to active duty at short notice, and you will have to cancel your break – please let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to go on your break, so we can find another family.

Failure to inform us about your cancellation will result in the deactivation of your account.

We ask families to wait at least 2 years after a break with us before booking again, so that we can support as many families as possible.  However, if there are exceptional circumstances, please do get in touch and we will try and support you if we can.

Properties donated to Give Us Time are located both in the UK and abroad.

The donors are companies and individuals who own or manage holiday properties.

Give Us Time can accept no liability for any loss or damage howsoever caused including but not limited to the quality and fitness of the property, damage to your possessions during your stay; and lost or stolen possessions during your stay. This does not exclude any liability arising from death or personal injury to persons caused by negligence on the part of Give Us Time, any liability arising as a result of fraud, or anything else which cannot be excluded or limited by relevant law.
