We had the most amazing week thanks to Give Us Time. The lodge in Bodmin Holiday Park was really comfortable and the centre had a fun swimming pool too. We had hugely adventurous days on both the north and south coast of Cornwall thanks to its perfect central location!
It’s hard to believe that we did the following:
Day 1: we travelled down, visited Fowey, went for fish and chips dinner in Polzeath and had a paddle in the sea.
Day 2: we went to The Eden Project and then spent the evening in Charlestown for dinner, another paddle in the sea there and then back to the holiday park for an evening swim.
Day 3: we cycled the camel trail from Wadesbridge to Padstow and back again. Then had dinner back at the lodge then went for a long bodyboard on Polzeath beach.
Day 4: we went to Falmouth and visited the local lifeboat station (our son is a big fan!) and the National Maritime Museum which was awesome! We then went to the beach there for the rest of the day.
Day 5: we packed up the holiday home and then went to the beach again for a bodyboard at Polzeath. We drive home via friends who live on Dartmoor.

As you can probably tell from this we are a really active family- the 5 of us had such a fun time. We were so blessed with great weather and being term-time meant it wasn’t too busy. Once the kids went to bed we had the wonderful comfort of the lodge to relax in too. The week was even sweeter due to the term-time permission granted by the children’s school due to my recent deployment exceptional circumstances. We can’t thank you enough for helping us to have this special time together. It really made the children feel so special and gave us the break and time to bond again that we needed so much.
