First off we would like to say a huge huge thank you for giving the opportunity to visit such a beautiful place and have some much needed quality family time. Scotland will always be special for us as it is where myself and my husband went on our honeymoon 5 year ago. We were over the moon to be given this holiday and too bring our son for the first time.
We fell in love with Scotland even more this time and to be able to have our first family holiday here was amazing.
We had snow which was lovely we felt like we were in a winter wonderland, then we had sunshine which was equally amazing with the clear blue skies which gave us the opportunity too explore The Glen Estate. All we can say is wow! This is a hidden treasure and if you get the opportunity to go please do, we would love too return in the future. The staff and Mr Tenant who owns the estate were all friendly and welcoming, their is so much history here and the beauty of the buildings and grounds is stunning.
The Old Larder is attached too the back of the house, it has a lovely log burner fire to keep it toastie on those colder nights, a large dining and lounge area which we found perfect for our 1 year old too run around, however he did take a liking to the stairs. There are some lovely walks around the grounds or if you want to go further afield then off the estate. We visited Peebles and Innerleithen which were lovely and there is plenty to do and see nearby.
All in all we are very grateful and had the best time.
