What we do here at Give Us Time only works because of donors. Without their generous gifts of accommodation, we simply wouldn’t exist!
And we’re incredibly lucky to have a huge mix of opportunities for our families – from highland lodges, to seaside retreats, glamping pods, villas and chalets across the UK, Europe and beyond.
One of our independent donors is based in Northern France, and is a firm favourite with our families, both for the location and for the warm welcome.
Joe and his family had a week at Le Goludic in the summer, and were hugely impressed with their hosts, from the provision of groceries on the first night, through to the huge number of board games in the accommodation – “there was no getting bored. It was fantastic to see our children off technology for a bit and enjoying healthy alternatives!”
The location hit the spot as well – “fantastic beaches within 40 minutes, St Malo and Mont St Michel just 2 hours to the north, plus theme parks and zoos” – but the gite itself gave the family so much inspiration, as the hosts are “very green fingered, trying to grow what they eat, which had a massive and long-lasting impact on the children who now want to get more involved in gardening and eating healthy.”
Joe summed it up for us, “Honestly it’s inspired us with a dream of one day selling up and trying to achieve the same in our retirement, and then giving back.”
