Give Us Time is delighted to announce that it has received a grant from the RAF Benevolent Fund to support its work with serving RAF personnel, veterans, and their families.
The RAF Benevolent Fund has a long-standing commitment to supporting the RAF family. Its grant to Give Us Time reflects a shared focus on family wellbeing, connection, and resilience across the Armed Forces community.
“We are extremely grateful to the RAF Benevolent Fund for its generous support,” said Lt Col Rupert Forrest MBE (Ret’d), Charity Advisor, Give Us Time. “This funding will help us continue creating meaningful opportunities for RAF personnel, veterans, and their families to spend time together, strengthen bonds, and make lasting memories during what can often be challenging periods of service life.”
Irene Greenwood, Welfare Programmes Manager at the RAF Benevolent Fund, said: “We’re proud to support Give Us Time in helping RAF personnel, veterans and their families spend valuable time together. These breaks offer more than just time away; they create space to reconnect, strengthen relationships and build resilience for the challenges of Service life.”
This support is already making a difference for RAF families such as Mark and Laura, who recently visited Scotland through Give Us Time with their three children. During the break, the family spent time on the beach, explored local caves and a lighthouse, and enjoyed simple moments after a busy period. Reflecting on the trip, Laura said they valued “quality time together” and the chance to make memories, adding: “It was exactly what we needed.”
Give Us Time is dedicated to supporting serving military personnel, veterans, and their families by providing opportunities to reconnect through donated holidays and family experiences. Working with property donors across the UK and abroad, the charity helps Forces families take time away together and build lasting resilience.
The RAF Benevolent Fund is the Royal Air Force’s longest-standing charity for serving and former RAF personnel and their families. They exist to improve the quality of life, independence and wellbeing of the RAF Family though tailored and lasting support.
