Give Us Time is delighted to announce our new Ambassador, Major Zabina Zmitrowicz

Give Us Time is delighted to announce our new Ambassador, Major Zabina Zmitrowicz. After training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst from May 2010 Zabina was commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps in April 2011. After successfully completing her Troop Commanders course she spent the first years of her career posted in Germany and deployed on operations to Northern Ireland, Afghanistan and Cyprus. She has worked in a variety of roles including alongside the Military Working dogs and as a part of the training team at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate. After promoting to Major in 2020 her current assignment is as the Executive Officer of the University of London Officer Training Corps.

Zabina was one of our beneficiaries, going away on a respite break in 2019 with her family holiday to Tuscany. She told us she, “spent a whole week focusing on family time and I credit that intervention with some of my happiest memories, not to mention probably reducing the high probability of mental health issues that can be triggered by separation within military careers.”

Since this break Zabina has been actively promoting Give Us Time over the last 3 years. This year she took on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon and raising over £1,500 for us! Zabina said the reason why she decided to run was, “I want to give this amazing charity the exposure it so deserves and help donate some more time to military families in need so please help me if you can”.

We are thrilled to have Zabina as part of our team and we’re looking forward to working together to continue to provide support to our military families.
