Give Us Time receives key funding to enhance support for Army families

Give Us Time is delighted to welcome funding from the Army Central Fund to continue its work supporting serving personnel and their families.

Lt Col (Ret’d) Rupert Forrest MBE, Charity Advisor for Give Us Time said ‘We are delighted and grateful to have received a generous grant from the Army Central Fund. It will enable us to support the serving Army by providing respite breaks to their families. The impact of our combined efforts will help hard pressed families to rest, recover and recuperate, and spend vital time together to restore those all-important family bonds and assist the morale of the Army as a whole.’

Caroline Crewe-Read, Director, Army Central Fund, said ‘The Army Central Fund is delighted to award a grant to Give Us Time to provide vital respite breaks to serving Army personnel and their immediate families. Improving the wellbeing and lived experience of those serving is central to the Army Central Fund’s mission and we are proud to support Give Us Time who help families reconnect following deployments or cope with the impact of health or other welfare issues.’

Give Us Time supports Forces families to reconnect through donated respite breaks. Since 2013, we’ve enabled more than 1,200 families to get away and spend time together on breaks in the UK, Europe, and the US.
