We were incredibly moved to read Ben’s feedback following his break in Spain with his son.

He told us, “After the last 2 years of cancer/bereavement and Covid preceding that, Give Us Time has given my son and I a great opportunity to go on a holiday that I would no longer be able to afford on a single wage.

“Two weeks before the holiday I started to have doubts about how I would cope entertaining a 4-year-old for so long without the help of nursery. I’ve used his nursery and my time at work as childcare and respite respectively since my wife passed away in December. To add to that, it was my son’s first holiday abroad and I was unsure how he’d cope in the heat as well as not being able to have his creature comforts.

“However, I can say it was a huge success! The location of the accommodation in relation to the pool was only metres away and apart from the glorious weather, the kids’ club made the holiday. It gave my son the opportunity to play with other children for 2 periods of 2 hours per day, therefore allowing me to also have a much-needed break. The kids club itself was well equipped with arts, crafts, different themes and hi-tech gadgets such as a cinema screen and the latest games consoles.

“It is certainly what we needed.  Thank you.”
