It’s time for another Friday family story!
This time, the Williams family visited Braidhaugh holiday park in central Scotland for a short break away from busy Forces life.
Mum told us, “As a dual serving family, my fiancé and I were, unfortunately, both deployed for 4 months each over a 10 month period. This left our daughter with 1 parent for 8 months, so when the chance came up for a respite holiday, we jumped at it!
“We were fortunate to spend 5 days at the lovely Braidhaugh Holiday Park, Crieff, staying in a brand new 2 bedroom caravan. The park is situated on the riverbank and in close proximity to restaurants/shops etc. It was extremely peaceful, a little home from home.
“We all had a wonderful time exploring the local beauty spots and venturing into Perth (30 minutes drive away) to the leisure centre for some swimming. Our favourite trip was to Auchingarrich Wildlife Park (15 minutes drive away) where we came face to face with kangaroos, wallabies and meerkats, to name but a few! A great day had by all, the park has both indoor and outdoor play areas and kids go free all of September which was a lovely surprise!
“We were truly humbled, not only to be lucky enough to receive this holiday, but by the staff at Braidhaugh who couldn’t have done anything more for us. Thank you Give Us Time, our family had an amazing time.”
Thank you to our wonderful donors Largo Leisure Holidays for providing this fantastic break!
