The Walkworth Trip to Woburn

“Thank you to both Give Us Time and Center Parcs- you’ve given us so lovely memories.”

The Walkworth family enjoyed a long weekend at Center Parcs in Woburn. Mrs Walkworth worked out that the boys – aged 7 and 5 spent around 12 hours in the swimming pool!

“My boys are now fabulous swimmers so I took them to the outside rapids, which they loved. It is so scary watching them zoom down, crashing into walls and splashing into waves but I could hear their laughed as I frantically chased down after them.”

The time away allowed them to spend quality time together with the whole family and the boys participated in numerous activities including the zip wire, adventure golf, archery, and aerial adventures in the trees!

“We had booked activities for the late afternoon. Both the boys wanted Daddy to take them on tree adventures. Zac did the Tree trekking, it’s 2 meters off the floor. He loved it, there were a few things that were tricky and he needed Daddy’s support. He went around so fast they let him do it all again. Ethan went on the 10-metre-high aerial adventure. They were the last 2 of the day so the instructors let them mess around in the trees. Jay was challenging Ethan to climb back across each section and try it again using one hand or going backwards. After an hour in the trees they did a 150-metre zip wire across the top of the lake. Both the boys had a fabulous time.”

However, their teachers would be proud of them all as “both boys and Daddy did their homework!”

The trip also allowed Joanna and Jay to reconnect and catch up with each other after years of coming and going and now living apart during the week.

As Joanna writes: “Knowing we had Center Parcs to look forward to for the last 9 months was lovely and it came at the perfect time as we are still spending a lot of time apart. It was so lovely to all be having fun together.”
