“We will always be grateful”

This is Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. During the week, we will be sharing some stories that show how important our respite breaks are in helping to support mental health amongst forces families.

We enabled several families to have time away in March to remember their late colleague. H. Here are a couple of their stories.

“Thanks to Give Us Time we spent an amazing week in Bansko with family and friends of H, who we tragically lost last year. Without the charity’s help we would never have had the chance to spend such quality time with people special to H, especially his beautiful daughter (who had a blast up the mountains!). We really appreciate the hard work and dedication you have shown in helping us all through the past year”. Rob

“We feel very blessed to have experienced the time away that we did through Give Us Time. It was really nice to get away to somewhere we hadn’t been before, relax, unwind and have some time away from work. It gave us the chance to really connect with H’s family and friends more and experience something that he loved to do – we had always spoken about doing a ski trip together so to be given this opportunity with his closest family and friends, we will always be grateful”. Alex and Lauren

Thank you for the wonderful Balkan Jewel for their ongoing support.
