“We would like to express our deepest thanks to Give Us Time and Park Holidays UK for giving our family the gift of time together. After a long deployment and a difficult period of separation, we were fortunate enough to spend five unforgettable days in Cornwall, staying in a beautiful lodge at Hengar Manor Holiday Park.

We were blessed with beautiful sunshine and warm weather throughout our stay, which made the experience even more special. This holiday gave us something we hadn’t had in a long while – time to simply be together as a family. The kids hadn’t spent a single school holiday with their dad since September and didn’t have him home for Christmas, so this break was incredibly meaningful.

Our days were filled with laughter, adventure, and connection. The children explored rock pools, played for hours on the beach, swam in the sea, and body-boarded the waves in Perranporth. We played tennis, swam in the holiday park pool, enjoyed evening entertainment – and even had a go at bingo! There was something special for each of us.

We made memories that we will treasure forever: watching a breathtaking sunset at Godrevy Lighthouse, crab fishing in Padstow where dad was hilariously mugged by a seagull, and taking a boat tour along the stunning Cornish coast where we saw puffins and seals – and were soaked by the waves to everyone’s delight!

This time gave us the space to reconnect, to laugh, to heal, and to just be a family again after all the sacrifices that come with military life. We are incredibly grateful to Give Us Time for the opportunity and to Park Holidays UK for their generous donation that made it possible.
