For a military family, being apart is never easy, especially during special times such as Christmas and the summer. For April and her daughters, the separation from Dad was made easier by their wonderful week in France in August.

April told us, “It was truly amazing! Ralph and Carol were so friendly and showed us all their fruit trees and vegetables, and beautiful buildings and land. We were so happy just running around their beautiful space, but we did also venture around the surrounding villages and market days.

“It was the perfect end to summer especially as their dad had been deployed for 2 months just before we broke up for the holidays and we wouldn’t have been able to afford a break abroad had it not been for Give Us Time and the incredibly generous donation from Ralph and Carol.

“This was only our second time out of the UK and we really got to experience a lot of amazing things which will be lifelong memories. We can’t put into words how grateful we are for this opportunity and would recommend the service to all military families.”
